Calories In Green Tea and Additives

Naturally, the calories in green tea is zero. However, with additives like sugar, honey or milk… the calories many vary. The advantage of these additives is that they contain a small amount of calories, but gives your tea a whole unique delightful taste.

Creamers: Some people prefer using coffee creamers rather then milk in their tea. These type of creamers contain about 20-40 calories per serving. However, it all depends on variety.

Cinnamon: Must people also love to add cinnamon in their tea for a yummy spruced up taste and health benefits. 1 teaspoon of cinnamon has about 6 calories.

Lemon: Adding lemon to green tea is quite classic. But why wouldn’t it be? It’s very relaxing and soothing… especially when one has a cold. It also contains antioxidants and vitamin C. 1 slice of lemon contains about 2 calories.

Ginger:  Some tea drinkers incorporate ginger into their green tea. It has endless health benefits and contains high levels of vitamin C, magnesium and other minerals. 1 teaspoon of grounded ginger contains about 6 calories.
